With one good win under their belts Herts Nomads were keen to meet the challenge of their first triangular fixture of the season. Playing at their home venue, Francis Bacon School, the team were determined and focused on winning.
Herts Nomads made a very confidant start winning the first few points with conviction. Team Southampton simply had no reply and the tone was set for the match. Herts took the first set 25 - 13.
The Nomads continued to dominate the second set and the young Southampton team were unable to reply. Herts took the set 25 -10.
The third set was more of the same; Southampton tried valiantly to stop the onslaught and succeeded in gaining a few more points. However, the Herts team were just too strong for them and took the set comfortably 25 - 16.
