Nomads travelled down to south London to play Tonbridge at their home venue. The Herts team of 8 were determined to get another win under their belts. However, Tonbridge were equally keen to achieve a win!
The Herts team took a few points to settle down, but soon took control of the set, with strong serving keeping the Tonbridge side under pressure. Tonbridge put up a good fight but the Nomads refused to let them gain any ground and stayed strong to take the set 25 - 14
The second set proved a little more of a challenge for the Herts team, Tonbridge made a good start and established an early lead. The Nomads were left playing catch up for most of the set. Finally the Herts teams' determination and solid defending won through and they levelled the score at 18 all!!! The Nomads stayed strong to take the score to 22 -18!!! Tonbridge fought back but the Herts team stayed strong and took the set 25 -23.
The Nomads were back in control for the 3 rd set and strong attacking took them through to a comfortable 25 - 16 win.Click
