Brentwood were certainly fired up for this match and had a crowd of supporters making enough noise to raise the roof! The Herts team struggled to get started and were a bit intimidated by the volume of noise and found it hard to communicate or hear the referees whistle!
Brentwood put together a strong attack and tested the Herts defence constantly. The Herts team fought back with some strong serving but Brentwood stayed strong and took the set 25 - 17
The Herts team made a better start in the second set but Brentwood fought back hard and defended well, their left handed middle player continued to cause the Nomads trouble and highlighted the fact that they were missing their regular middle blocker. Herts battled away but just lost the set 23 -25.
The Nomads fought hard in the third set but Brentwood were the better team on the day an took the win 25 - 18
Herts Nomads were extremely disappointed with their first loss of the season, however, it was a tough fixture to face without a full team and in such difficult circumstances!
