The Herts team had to put their disappointment behind them and concentrate on the Solent game.
With a fresh player on court the Herts team played with determination keeping the Solent team under pressure. The Herts team stayed strong throughout and took the 1 st set 25 – 15.
The Nomads kept control in the second set and were looking comfortable at 20 – 15 although signs of fatigue were beginning to creep in. A point fot point battle ensued with the Nomads finally taking the set 25 –20.
The Herts team had trouble getting started in the 3 rd set – a change in line up unsettled the team and Solent took advantage going 13 – 3 up. The Nomads changed back to the original line up and finally got it together to play their own game. Some strong serving brought their score up and they built on this with strong attacking finally taking the set 25 –21.
This was a good convincing win from a very tired team!
