Having lost their first match of the season to Tonbridge, with a below par performance,
Herts Nomads were highly motivated to improve on that performance with the added incentive
of it being a home fixture.
Unfortunately for the young Southampton team the Nomads were taking no prisoners and simply
overwhelmed them. Tough serving and committed defending from the Nomads didn't allow
Team Southampton to get started as the Herts team stormed the set 25 -7.
Team Southampton battled bravely in the 2nd set and the Nomads fielded their new players.
The opposition gained a few points this set but it was a comfortable win for the Herts team 25 - 15.
The 3rd set saw a further onslaught from the Nomads and Team Southampton were completely overwhelmed
again as the Herts team quickly took the set 25 - 8.
