Herts were keen to make up for their non-performance against Tonbridge when the teams last met at the first match of the season. Tonbridge however had other ideas and fought hard to keep the Nomads at bay. It was a battle all through the first set with the momentum swinging from one team to the other. Herts stayed strong and finally took the set 25-23.
The second set saw more of the same, with Tonbridge blocking really well and the Nomads equally determined. It was a point for point once more. Both teams fought hard to take the set, Tonbridge finally got the edge and won the set 27-25.
The third and forth sets continued in the same manner, both teams battled and gave their all. Herts managed to stay strong enough to keep a very fine edge over the opposition and took both sets 25-23.
This was the Herts most closely fought match of the season and one that produced some really entertaining volleyball for the supporters, who had added to the match with their enthusiastic encouragement.
