Nomads Vs South Hants
28th September 2008

Nomads lost to South Hants 1- 2 (22-25, 25-15, 14-25, 22-25)

Herts had to recover quickly from the Plymouth match as they faced South Hants the following day. Another team Herts have history with as it was South Hants that beat Nomads in the Play Offs the last time Herts were in Division 2. That team put the Nomads down to Division 3 and South Hants took their place in Division 2 where they seemed to have gone from strength to strength finishing 4 th last season.

The Nomads found themselves up against a very well organised team and some very fast paced volleyball. The team rose to the challenge and it was pretty much point for point in the first set with South Hants just holding a slight edge to take the set 25- 22.

The Nomads found another gear for the 2 nd set and played some fantastic volleyball. South Hants were surprised by the strength of the Herts team and had a bit of a confidence crisis allowing the Nomads to dominate the set totally winning it 25-15.

South Hants regrouped and came back strongly in the 3 rd set and the Nomads had a bad start going 6 points down having their own crisis. Finally the team rallied and fought back but it was too late as South Hants had a firm hand on the set and won it 25-14.

The 4 th set saw the Herts team battle hard but South Hants were relentless in maintaining a fast paced game and handled everything Nomads threw at them finally winning the set 25-22 and the match 3-1.
