Seeking Beginner Friendly Fixtures

Due to our rather successful summer recruitment campaign, Kings Langley have a large number of players looking to play in a small number of games. Rather than have people sat on the bench, we've decided to split our Div 2 squad between the existing "Knights" team and a new development squad we're going to call the "Rooks". The Rooks is made up of a mixture of abilities; some total beginners, some...

A note on team restrictions

As we approach Player lock down for the season, can we remind all Clubs that they should have entered their Club Players for the season on the website by last weekend. Importantly, if the HVA Rules say you need to, you must restrict a number of players to a single team. You only need to restrict players as per the HVA Rules, not just because they normally play for a particular team - this is not...

It is like this as these four teams were drawn first and...

Match maps, eligible players and iCal

We've been busy improving the website over the last week in response to some suggestions, so thanks for those: We've coded up the HVA Rules for player restrictions (we think). When you click on an upcoming match you now see who is eligible to play. That should help team managers/captains avoid any oops moments. Clubs can now edit their matches to add a match venue. A handy icon is displayed on...

More refereeing courses

Even with the relaxation of the neutral referee requirement for Division 1 this year, as an organisation we do seem to be lacking a pool of referees we can call upon. Volleyball England have courses coming up in mid-October at Sheffield and Nottingham, which aren't too far away. It might be worth encouraging a few people in your Club to take the entry level Grade 4 course. It's only £50 and I'm...

All designs to webmaster [at] hertsvolleyball.co.uk by the end of November and we'll decide if it's better than what we currently have! ** We've...
